MEET THE TEAM

Anne Nelesen, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Anne attended undergraduate at Marquette University and obtained a master's in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. While starting a family, Anne continued to work part time across

settings, including schools, skilled nursing facilities, home-based settings, and outpatient clinic. From this varied experience, Anne learned that the most meaningful aspect of work is connection to families, whether the client being served is a child or an adult. Anne lives in the Highland Park neighborhood with her husband and four children. Three of her four children have received both occupational therapy and speech therapy services, solidifying for the Nelesen family the absolute need for talented and caring practitioners in this area.

Alexandra Kuch, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Alex earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She began to recognize the value and power of communication as part of the Speech and Debate community in high school

and college. The experience of building confidence and learning valuable communication skills, coupled with her love of children, ultimately drew her to the field of speech-language pathology. Alex has worked in a variety of pediatric settings and enjoys cultivating confidence in children with communicating their wants, needs, and ideas. She values being part of a strong team and collaborating across disciplines to provide the best possible care, fostering growth in all the clients she serves.

OUR STORY

The Therapy SP/OT was founded by Anne and Alex in November, 2018 in response to the closing of a valuable clinic in the heart of Saint Paul's Highland Park. We have assembled a highly qualified and therapeutically effective team with three years of experience working together to achieve the best outcomes.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"My child with autism receives many therapies throughout his week. For kids like him, it is important to have a few trusted individuals among them. These are our trusted individuals for both me and my son. They make us feel comfortable and taken care of."

Beth Bonniwell, M.S., OTR/L

Since moving back to Minnesota after graduate school, Beth has worked both full- and part-time as she started a family.
